Ally was sad that she wouldn't have her pal at school this year so she did what any reasonable woman would do and avoided the whole situation entirely (school that is).
She and Sarah have kept in touch through letters, emails and yahoo chat. This past week Sarah and her family came down for a visit. Of course we had to have her over for a sleepover. It has been fun watching Ally and Sarah with their heads bent together catching up on the last year. The giggles and laughter made me realize that Ally doesn't have this with anyone else. It's kind of sweet. Ally will be going to Sarah's house tonight for another sleepover and they will have to rely on this time together to get them through another year apart.
But when your "besties" sometimes, it's enough.
Reminds me of someone else's friendship I know.....they were just lucky enough to go just about all the way through school together. :-)
