ss. Let me explain..... You see there is this digital Camera that I want. It's not just any digital camera. No, it is a Nikon digital SLR with two lenses, a camera case and a few bells and whistles. Now let me remind you, this is something I have been waiting for for over five years. The first time I realized someone made a digital SLR I knew I had to have one, but at the time they cost over two thousand dollars. Well, I have been a patient girl and have happily used my film loaded SLR since then. But film is getting harder and harder to find (even at walmart) and I know that it will soon be going the way of the VCR and assume the status of technoligical relic. So I find myself with the happy excuse to buy my precious D-SLR. This has been the conversation in my head for quite some time, "I sure need to get a camera but I don't have much money to spend, how should I go about this?"Which brings me back to the title of this post. Widgets and Gadgets. I had the brilliant idea to track the amount of money I was saving in a post on my blog. I thought surely there would be a Gadget for this to simply add as a sidebar to my blog. I could update it as I saved more money and as time went on I could watch the bar slide up and grow my excitement along with it. Well, I checked the gadgets that are available in the layout section of this blog and found nothing. I did however see that there is a place to add your own. Yay! Right? I could just make my own. After three hours of searching, updating, and downloading I finally found a widget to track my saved money......but wait a minute, we're talking about a widget here. For some reason a widget is different than a gadget? What tha? Now after wasting an entire morning on something that at the time seemed simple and mundane I have a widget on my desktop, no gadget on my blog and a computer system that has been completley updated in the process. Widgets and Gadgets....whatever!
