After All This Time

I think it was a few years ago that I posted about my desire to own a Digital SLR.  I read about them when they first came out....oh, seven or eight years ago. And I wanted one.  But back then they were waaaaay too expensive for this farm wife's budget.  Since then, they've come down in price.  And the good news is, I bought one!  I'm so excited to catch up on some of the things I've missed by not owning a decent camera.....sporting events, birthday parties, you get the idea.

Below are some of the photos I took while learning how to use the camera.  Since most of the kids are in school, I didn't have very many willing subjects on hand, so I had to work with what I had.

I touched all of these up with a program that came with my camera, but now I can't tell if these are the ones I worked with or not.  Oh well, I'm hoping that as I get to know my camera better, my skills will improve.  :)

  2. Yay! I JUST got myself a DSLR, too...but I'm really slow at learning how to use it. I'm a little overwhelmed right now & barely know where to start. It's on my 'to do' list! Congrats! Your pictures look great.
