The other day while reading an article in the Ensign, I came across a quote in the footnote. It was an interesting thought that I have been mulling over since. I wanted to share it with you but I won't add my usual commentary in the hope that you will think about it too and apply your own thoughts to it.
"The final judgement is not just an evaluation of a sum total of good and evil acts--what we have done. It is an acknowledgment of the final effect of our acts and thoughts--what we have become. It is not enough for anyone just to go through the motions. The commandments, ordinances, and covenants of the gospel are not a list of deposits required to be made to some heavenly account. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a plan that shows us how to become what our Heavenly Father desires us to become."
Dallin H. Oaks
Thank You for that thought! It is 7:09AM. I just took Evan to his ride to work (Munn's farm) I am all alone, which never happens! And I really needed that thought. Thanks, and I hope you don't mind, but I am going to add your blog to mine, so I can see how your sweet family is doing! Thanks for your comment.
